Natural Gas prices are something that varies with the season and the location. The economy obviously also has an impact on natural gas prices but those prices may not always move in a way that you would expect.

If you look at the natural gas price history you be surprised to see that there are times when the price of natural gas is rising but the economy is under some pressure. As I write this in mid-October 2008 the economy is in terrible shape around the world and yet we are seeing natural gas pricing holding steady and actually increasing across the country with the biggest rises occurring in the Rockies and the Mid West.

In fact right now experts are forecasting that there will be a softening in natural gas prices even though we are moving through fall and heading for winter.
